Regular Ducatis Simply Aren't Rare Enough for Ya?
If lower price tags and longer service intervals have made Ducati's new 1098 and Hypermotard motorcycles more accessible, the Italian manufacturer is also keeping exclusivity alive by releasing a special edition version of their retro-cool Sport 1000 model.
Clad in the same black and gold-pinstriped paint scheme as the 1978 900SS "Darmah," the 2007 Sport 1000 Mono Special Edition features a triple clamp-mounted numbered plaque as well as spoked wheels, Brembo brakes, and twin muffler "shotgun" exhaust.
With a total of only 100 units being produced (90 for the U.S. and 10 for Canada) and a price tag of $11,495, these distinctively painted Special Editions are sure to be snapped up by rabid Ducati collectors.
