Speculation About the New Ducati Monster Runs Rampant
Ducati's Monster shifted the motorcycle landscape when it was introduced in 1992, making naked bikes fashionable again and redefining the Italian brand through a more visceral, accessible model.
How will the Monster's iconic, minimally designed, trellis-framed, less-is-more look evolve into its next iteration? Internet speculation is running rampant, with everything from spy photos (which a trusted source tells me was actually just a modified Monster being ridden in Sicily) to this computer generated image which was posted on the Italian site Motoblog. The shot suggests the new Monster will feature clean lines, a snug headlight, and tidy underseat exhaust cans.
Could this bike will live alongside the Hypermotard and 1098? November's Milan Motorcycle Show will most likely answer that question... until then, share your thoughts on whether or not this rendering is Ducati Monster material.

Comments
The evergreen but nonetheless long-in-the-tooth Monster needs a redesign. But since this line is Ducati’s best seller and its bread and butter, not sure how revolutionary rather than evolutionary a new model can be.
Styling, chassis and ergonomic improvements notwithstanding, I would like to see the 1098 engine in a revised S4 line.
