Last Minute Stocking Stuffer: the Urban Tool sportHolster

Wednesday December 19, 2007
Urban Tool sportHolster Anyone who's ever craved extra pockets but doesn't want to lug a backpack might appreciate the sportHolster by Urban Tool. This lightweight accessory fits around the arms and is constructed of Lycra-blended synthetic fabric and mesh material. Though it doesn't hold a whole lot of stuff, I've used it to store things like my Jimi wallet, ear plugs, and other diminutive doodads underneath my riding jacket. The sportHolster can accomodate an iPod and/or a point & shoot camera, and also features a yo-yo-like key strap.

My only two complaints are that the velcro sometimes seems a bit fragile, as overfilling the sportHolster (which is relatively easy to do) feels like it might strain the seam, and that the unit's price ($59 USD) is a bit steep. However, those who wear pocketless leathers and need to carry just a bit more stuff will find the sportHolster a handy storage solution.

may have to check this out. I find myself hauling a lot of things around in a courier bag, and I never need most of them.

I just googled this item, only $189. This will go great with my $500 canvas jacket while i’m riding my bike with the engine thats mounted sideways.
