From R1 to XT250: A Buyer's Guide to Every 2008 Yamaha Motorcycle
The 2008 Yamaha lineup features loads of improvements and all-new features, from the more restyled, more powerful R1 to the updated R6, whose powerplant now includes a variable length intake tract (inherited from the R1.) The R6S variant offers a 123 horsepower 600cc inline-4 that redlines at 15,500 rpm.
Yamaha doesn't survive on sportbikes alone: the distinctive Zuma scooter is back by popular demand, the all-new WR250X supermoto bike offers a blend of enduro, supermoto, and sportbike qualities, and maxi scooters like the 395cc Majesty and the massive Morphous are balanced by dirtbikes like the pint-sized TT-R50E and the nimble TT-R125LE. The fat-tired TW200 is one of several dual-purpose offerings.
