Dreaming of the 80s: The 25th Anniversary Honda Interceptor ABS
I grew up in the 80s, and one of the bikes that captured my childhood imagination was the iconic red, white, and blue Honda Interceptor.
Flash forward 25 years, and Honda has celebrated their heritage with a nostalgic paint scheme and sharp edged bodywork that shields some pretty cool technology. Equipped with optional saddlebags, the 2007 Honda Interceptor I tested featured ABS, VTEC variable valve timing, a single-sided swingarm, and the same V-4 configuration that graced those distinctive 1980s bikes.
How did I like the Interceptor? You'll have to read my forthcoming review to find out, but in the meantime check out my 2007 Honda Interceptor ABS photo gallery, and post a comment if this retro-styled sport tourer quickens your pulse like it does mine.

Saddle bags on an Interceptor? What self respecting squid would ride with saddle bags?
Aw…C’mon….try them first.
The VFR is probably the finest sport tourer any amount of money can buy. I’ve ridden lots of them with and without the hard bags. The bags are heavy and not especially sleek…but if you’re on the road looking to drain 3 or 4 tanks a day, they make the end of the day a lot more pleasant.
With or without the bags it’s a magnificent bike and generally under appreciated by us tunnel visioned, blinder wearing North Americans.
Cheers!
