Coming Soon to a Track Near You: Buell Bike Demos

Friday February 15, 2008
Buell 1125R

Buell wants to show off what their bikes can do, and they've created Inside Pass as a way for consumers to track test their performance motorcycles. Covering ten locations between March 10 and November 17 (including Homestead, Mid-Ohio, and Willow Springs), the limited enrollment program offers track time on 1125Rs, Lightning XB12Sss, and Firebolt XB12Rs. The $150 experience includes a catered lunch, t-shirt, knee pucks-- and, of course, the opportunity to wear down somebody else's tires.

I had a blast (pun intended) testing Buell's 1125R at the Laguna Seca press launch a few months ago, and think this is a great way for enthusiasts and potential customers to experience what Buell has to offer.

Hmmmmmm….2 days this post has been up and no comments. One might be lead to believe there is not a great deal of interest in Buell..one way or another.

Pete,

I’m sure somebody has something nice or nasty to say about Buell… after all, they’re not exactly the Switzerland of the motorcycle world.

Aren’t Inside Pass events just a trackday that happens to be hosted by Buell with Buell’s available for on-track demo rides?

In other words, it’s a $150 (a quite decent price) trackday where you have the opportunity to sign-up for a session on a Buell.

Aprilia used to run these sorts of events. Good way to get exposure to the brand.

I wouldn’t mind getting a demo ride on an 1125R although I don’t ever see spending my own hard earned cash on one. Can’t stomach the looks.

TEvo,

Yep; it’s basically a sponsored track day. I agree that $150 is a good price, especially when considering that you don’t have to put wear and tear on your own bike.
