Moto Guzzi's Stelvio 1200 4V (Almost) Ready for Adventure
Gotta love the Italians. If you skip past the first few lines of the international press release for their new adventure bike, you'll read that "[the] Stelvio 1200 4V is now streaking along European roads in three different colour concepts: red Corsa for the classic sportsman; Black Guzzi for those who prefer tradition, and Lunar white, the most glamorous colour of the moment."
Hmm... I'm not sure if I'm more of a glamouristi or a classic sportsman, but what does sound good is an unconventional "multi-purpose" bike with a 1,151cc, 105 horsepower V-twin, colorful heritage, and spoked Alpina wheels wrapped in tubeless tires.
I'll be testing Buell's new XB12XT Adventure Tourer this week, but also hope to get my mitts on a $14,990 Moto Guzzi Stelvio before they hit the U.S. market in August... oh, and they'll only be available here in red or black, so I guess we'll miss out on "the most glamorous colour of the moment." For now...

Haven’t had a chance to read the review yet…I hope it has some world class redeeming featurs, because that is a top contender for the ugliest bike I’ve ever seen!
YUK!
Pete,
I like its quirkiness… can’t speak to its road manners, but it’s odd enough to be interesting.
