Wheelie

In a statement that has shocked both the motorcycling community and the public at large, Department of Transportation spokesman Melvin P. Meyers announced today that federal and state highway codes will be amended with a bill that promises to legalize wheelies for certain riders as soon as mid-2009.

"The government no longer feels it necessary to regulate whether motorcycles travel on two wheels or one if riders are properly trained to perform wheelies," Meyers said in a press conference early this morning. He emphasized that wheelies will only be legal when performed by riders who pass a practical wheelie test and earn a "W" exemption on their driver licenses.

I’d like to have the right to seize the property of anyone that I deem to be doing something stupid in a car or on a bike, but then I’d be the only one on the streets of Manhattan.

Ontario too is lot’s of fun these days. The Police have the power now to sieze your car/bike on the side of the road and leave you standing there – if – they feel you were behaving badly enough.
From where I sit, the block long wheelies in rush hour most certainly qualify as behaving badly. The law is written that 50 over the posted limit qualifies as seizure material.
Suffice to say it has generated some VERY spirited discussion on various blogs.
Goldiron…fer cryin’ out loud – CHILL!

Hi everyone, Happy Fool’s Day!

There once was a blind man who decided to visit Texas. When he arrived on the plane, he felt the seats and said, “Wow, these seats are big!”
The person next to him answered, “Everything is big in Texas.”
When he finally arrived in Texas, he decided to visit a bar. Upon arriving in the bar, he ordered a beer and got a mug placed between his hands. He exclaimed, “Wow these mugs are big!” The bartender replied, “Everything is big in Texas.”
After a couple of beers, the blind man asked the bartender where the bathroom was located. The bartender replied, “Second door to the right.” The blind man headed for the bathroom, but accidentally tripped over and skipped the second door. Instead, he entered the third door, which led to the swimming pool, and fell into the pool by accident. Scared to death, the blind man started shouting, “Don’t flush, don’t flush!”

Happy April Fool’s Day!
