Sample a Yamaha Sportbike in its Native Habitat
Bike reviews are a good way to research your next two-wheeled purchase, but when it comes to living with a motorcycle there's nothing like actual seat time. In order to give prospective buyers a better feel for their products, Yamaha has teamed up with the Northeast Sportbike Association to provide track time on their key sportbikes: the R1, R6, R6S, FZ1, and FZ6.
The program is similar to Buell's Inside Pass, and the incentives go both ways: Yamaha buyers get a free track day and one year of NESBA membership, and NESBA members receive $100 off the purchase of a new Yamaha motorcycle. Track dates range from late April to mid-November, and include venues like Barber Motorsports Park, Road Atlanta, and Virginia International Raceway. NESBA memberships run $75 per year, and track days are priced between $95 and $195, depending on venue.
For more on the program, go to Yamaha or NESBA's websites. And if you've got a track day coming up, be sure to check out our How to Prepare for a Track Day guide.
