What is it About Red Bikes?
I've said it before and I'll say it again: I'll never forget my first bike. It was a 1992 Yamaha Seca II, and though it wasn't particularly quick, its racy shade of red expressed a certain spirit of adventure. Fast forward a few years, and red bikes still mean something special to me.
They also mean something special to photographer Dawn Deppi, who associates so strongly with the color that she shot a collection of images that exclusively feature red motorcycles. Her exhibit, aptly entitled "Red Bikes," will open at the Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum in Pickerington, Ohio on July 24th, 2008. The exhibit precedes Arlen Ness's "Awesome-Ness," which will display 11 of his custom creations; if you can make it up to that neck of the woods, it will certainly get you in the mood for summer riding.

I have always been mystified by the colour red on any vehicle, really. I really love the Kawasaki Ninja’s bright green but anything with red just makes me feel all warm inside.
That museum is sumthin’ to see!
I kinda fancy red myself, it has been my favorite for a long, long time. Must be the vibrant, exuberate color. It certainly looks good on my Yamaha VStar 650 Custom.
I HATE RED !!!! It just sucks!!! I have owned a red bike but we never got along,it was the same with the one red car I owned. Never liked it and never will.
David…Are you off your meds?
