MotoGP Live From Italy: Valentino Rossi Wins at Mugello!
Greetings from Mugello, Italy, where local hero Valentino Rossi emerged victorious, much to the delight of an estimated crowd of 90,000. He was followed by Ducati Marlboro's Casey Stoner and Repsol Honda's Dani Pedrosa. Rossi sported a helmet specially designed for Mugello, which featured an imprint of his impish face-- click this photo to enlarge.
Our boy Nicky Hayden unfortunately had a rough race, and told me yesterday, "We're not getting the bike to to turn the way I want. When we get the bike to steer and turn good, we lose traction." With setup issues hampering his performance and Honda's highly anticipated pneumatic-valved engine still under testing, we're hoping Hayden's bike can get situated properly in time for the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix at Laguna Seca and the inaugural Red Bull Indianapolis Grand Prix.
The festivities are already underway and I'll be posting a photo gallery of the race in the next few days, so ciao for now!

AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!! NOOOOOOOOOO !!!!
Basem…I can’t believe you posted the winner…I haven’t watched the race yet!! It’s not even on Speed until 10 tonight!!!
Ahhhh! Me too. I came to check in on the forums and there pasted at the top was the winner of the race, and it hadn’t even aired in the US yet! Of course, anybody watching the race could pick the eventual winner about 5 laps into it!
I’m sorry, guys. I usually go to the web for race results, and didn’t think my post would spoil it for anyone… funnily enough, before the race a couple guys told me they would bet a year’s salary that Rossi would take this race, given his track record at Mugello and his recent winning streak.
