Full Review: Riding the MV Agusta F4CC
Strange things happen when you ride the 200 horsepower, 195 mph MV Agusta F4CC: the urge to move through space rapidly becomes irresistible, as does the desire to hear the booming sound from the titanium underseat exhaust system and the hubris to park basically wherever you want (see picture on the left.)
The F4CC is certainly an exquisite piece of machinery (just take a peek at this photo gallery for evidence), but is it, dollar for dollar, ten times more fun than a Honda CBR1000RR or a Suzuki GSX-R1000?

There’s a handful of bikes out there that qualify as work of art…this one is very near the top of the list.
However -
412lbs?! I should expect the very best of everything and absolute cutting edge technology for 120 grand. That’s at least 40 lbs over weight.
It’s pretty and I bet the sound is to die for, but thanks…$30k buys a 1098S.
Nah… a 1098S can be yours for a paltry $21K USD. A 1098R costs “only” $39,995. Even the Desmosedici RR was “just” $75,000.
I think the CC is one of those “look what we can and have built” type of statement bikes. If one has to question the value in this type of motorcycle, it probably isn’t the right bike to begin with…
Pete,
Agreed about the weight… I’m assuming you’re talking Canadian dollars for the 1098S price?
TEvo, you’re right; I think this is a bike that somebody would buy to add to their collection, which probably includes a few exotic Ducatis, among others…

CA$ it is…despite the 2 currencies being within 2 or 3 cents of each other, it still costs more here. There’s more than a few people these days asking why so much more, and the answers coming back from suppliers and distributors (I work for one…) are becoming less and less appeasing and more & more annoying.
That $30k is tax in down the road….probably about $27 ~ $28K before you sit down with your friendly Ducati salesman.
Tevo - good points…but whether the F4CC is for you or not does not excuse the fact that for $120k, NOTHING should be left on the table. An RC51 was only about 13 lbs heavier than that. Litre bikes well under 400 lbs are routine in 2008.
