How Do You Say "Tomahawk" in Chinese?

Tuesday August 5, 2008
Chinese Tomahawk

Remember Dodge's Tomahawk, that wild motorcycle concept with a Viper V-10 engine stuffed into a futuristic bike body? According to Autoblog, a Chinese manufacturer has built a knockoff of the Blade Runner-esque concept boasting-- get this-- a 150cc engine, a CVT transmission, and a $1,400 price tag.*

It's not legal in the U.S. and might get you beat up (or, conversely, hailed as some sort of superhero) in certain parts of town, but the gumption to hide a scooter engine within an audacious body at least deserves some sort of recognition, in my book.

Could such motorcycle mutations ever become a part of our two-wheeled landscape? The mind reels at the possibilities.
