Photo Gallery: 2008 Yamaha R6
Just like there's something about red bikes, there's something about flamed motorcycles, too; I get that impression every time I ride a bike whose fairings are emblazoned with stickers depicting fire.
The Yamaha R6- already a pretty brash bike- gets an extra dose of personality in this cadmium yellow flame graphics scheme. As you'll see in an upcoming review, the thing has a Michael Phelps-like appetite for road, even if it's "only" a 600.
So visit our 2008 Yamaha R6 Photo Gallery and check out details like its track-inspired quick detachable license plate holder, titanium EXUP-equipped muffler, and of course its love-it-or-leave-it graphics, and stay tuned for a review.

The flames are well worth the $200.00, imho. *drool!
The flames just don’t do it. It was a sad day when YMC shelved the ‘Bumblebee’ paint job. There was a R1-SE a couple years ago and Edwards / Rossi used at Laguna in 06 (?), but possibly the most recognizable paint job in MC racing history is gone.
Pete,
The ‘06 LE paint scheme was pretty sweet, and cost a few extra hundred bucks… I can’t imagine it’s the last we’ll see of the ‘bumblebee’ scheme.
