Amazon.com has opened a store for motorcycle and ATV gear, parts, and accessories, and we can practically hear the cash registers ringing from here.
www.amazon.com/motorcycle takes the idea behind the website's automotive parts and accessories site (launched in 2007), and applies it to bikes- a natural expansion of the business that incorporates the usual Amazon.com features including customer reviews, discussion boards, tagging, and my personal favorite, free shipping.
The site boasts more than 300,000 products from the usual suspects-- Alpinestars, Yamaha, Fox Racing, Harley Davidson, HJC, Joe Rocket, et al-- some of it scary, some of it cool.
The store looks like a surefire way for motorcyclists to spend plenty of time and money... given your shopping list, would you buy it from Amazon?

I spent $11 on a digital tire guage. Somebody take away my debit card before I spend again!
Note Amazon isn’t actually selling anything- they are just passing it through to third-party sales..
