Honda Gold Wing Long Term Report #6: About That Tire...
The great thing about a long term bike test is the opportunity to grow fond of its endearing traits. But the flip side of long term "ownership" is that sometimes things don't go as planned. Because I spent most of the last two months traveling, I asked Jason Fogelson to put a few miles on the 'Wing. I had a sneaking suspicion that one of the tires had a slow leak, but because of my appointments with the Friendly Skies, I asked Jason to check it out while he was taking care of the 4,000 mile scheduled maintenance.
What happened at the Honda dealership? Why is proper tire maintenance so important? And how much did the Gold Wing's scheduled maintenance cost? Find out in Jason's Gold Wing Long Term Update #6, which kinda makes you think that Honda should install a tire pressure sensor on future 'Wings.
Oh, and in case you're wondering when the Gold Wing is going to get exercised, have no fear: Jason has ridden nearly 500 miles up and down the coast, which you'll read about soon in the next long term update.
