America has lost one of its Ten Great Motorcycle Events. The Honda Hoot, which has been held for 15 consecutive years, started off as a Honda owner's event and evolved into one of the nation's largest multi-brand road rallies. Over the years, the Hoot attracted over a quarter million riders in what has been universally lauded as a good-natured gathering of enthusiasts.
Honda's official statement attributes the decision to cancel the event as based on "the current economic crunch," but they promise to "take this time to seek out new and innovative ways to engage with our customers so that we can continue to ride together."
Check #4 of our list of 10 Great Motorcycle Events to find out what's taken the spot of the late, great Honda Hoot.
