I've spoken at length about motorcycle issues and shared plenty of riding impressions in my reviews, but I've never posed this question: What do you ride?
Whether you've got a fire-breathing sportbike, a chromed out cruiser, or an electric scooter, simply click on the "Comments" link and post the year, make and model of your ride. I'll kick it off, and you can take it from there...

Since I test bikes for a living, what I have in the garage is a revolving and unpredictable selection of motorcycles and scooters.
How ’bout you?
2006 Honda Shadow VLX 600cc. This is my first bike, the seat height is great (I am 5′6″) I can reach everything and very be comfortable. It’s weight is under 500 lbs. I have pick it up by my self, and did not need a Dr. I am really sorry that it appears that Honda is not making the 600cc size shadows anymore.
Suzuki GSX650F (blue) Although classified here as a beginner bike (yes), it’s also an advanced beginner bike, with about the same umph as the Kawasaki Ninja 650. Long touring trips is what it’s made to do, and yet it can zip around on country curves very quickly. It does whatever you want it to do very well.
Currently my lone bike is a ‘92 Honda NSR 250 SE. A 2 stroke sport bike that is a dream in the mountains and on the track, what little of it has seen anyways. It is currently in for an engine rebuild (almost done) and this whole not having a bike when I want to go for a riding is killing me. Needless to say I am thinking of adding another, probably a dual-purpose, bike to my resume though.
After starting last summer on a 150cc scooter (Buddy Int’l) I traded up to a Hyosung GV650 cruiser. Though not well known it’s quite a fast and powerful bike!
I have a 05 Harley Super Glide Custom. It’s a very laid back cruiser with forward controls, which is great for the many hwy miles I put on.
I ride an 1100 1994 Virago. It will, believe it or not, set you back in your seat and is definately the fastedt bike I’ve owned. While it is not my preference, it’s what I can afford right now
Since my MSF course four years ago, I’ve just been renting. Jumped on big bikes way too soon, but I’m 6′2, 200 lbs. and have been a serious cyclist for years so that has probably helped. Usually ride a Road King or Heritage. Seriously looking at buying a Stratoliner.
2001 Suzuki Bandit 1200S
2005 KTM 525 EXC
1995 Honda CR500
2009 Harley Street Bob Denim Black
After 18 years since I left my last bike, I’m now happily involved with a 2003 Honda Magna 750. She’s blue and chrome and not loud enough to upset the neighbors. Maggie is set up a windsheild, highway bars, saddle bags, and seating for two. The Central Florida roads keep calling for me to explore them. I’m 6′3″ and can only tolerate a 2 hour ride at a time. This is the perfect short-to-middle distance bike for me.
2005 Victory Touring Cruiser – “best bike I’ve ever owned”
2003 Yamaha V-star 650 custom Bobber – Customized by Morton’s Cycle of Concord, NC
2006 Honda VTX 1300R rode to CO and back last summer and did just under 4200 miles in 12 days. Best ride I have taken. Going to Canada this year.
2000 Yamaha 650 Custom (red). Its a great little bike. I’m 5′ and its height is fine for me. In 4 years I’ve ridden it over 30,000 miles. Planning a trip to the northwest this summer, can hardly wait.
I traded in my ‘05 Concours for an ‘07 Suzuki 650 Burgman scooter. Most comfortable ride I’ve ever had. Great gas milage and easy to work on. Fast/quick enough and cruises on the I-state really well. 10K+ on it and I wouldn’t trade it for any other bike.
2005 Honda Shadow Aero. 750CC of pure fun.
an ‘06 Harley ElectraGlide Ultra (FLHTCU). Only modifications are highway pegs, a GPS, a power take off for the electric jacket liner, and an 8″ clearview windscreen. It’s a good bike in the cold and rain, a little tooo warm when stuck in summer traffic. Lots of fun on country roads.
2007 Honda 919
I ride a Honda VTX 1800R. I have been riding for 40 plus years and have never ridden a bike more comfortable then this one. Biggest bang for the buck.
My daily commuter is a black ‘04 VStar 650 Classic with a few extras – loud and obnoxious enough to thrill the neighbourhood kids and upset their parents. On occasion, I also pull the purple 03 Shadow Spirit 750 out of the garage – a little quiet ride that doesn’t upset the nieghbourhood. When I feel ultra-retro I play with my little orange 1969 Honda PC50.
2002 Honda Sabre and 2007 Yamaha Royal Star Venture – the Honda has 76,000 miles on it so I bought the RSV to handle the long rides. Both are wonderful bikes!
Kawasaki KLR 650
Yamaha TTR 250
Yamaha TTR 225
Yamaha XT 200
Honda C70 Passport
Riding a 2006 Honda VTX 1300R, I have owned bigger and even small Honda’s, but this one fits my needs very well.
Me: 2006 Suzuki C50T
Wife: 2005 Kawasaki Vulcan Drifter 800
2005 Kawasaki 1600 Vulcan Classic. This is my first bike but I’m not a beginner. The first 6000 miles have been great!
Honda VTX1800R, set up for touring. I use it for everything, from commuting to and from work, to day trips, to week-long or more vacations. Now that I’ve changed the seat, risers, and other stuff, its very comfortable.
Yamaha’s best kept secret. A 2006 Midnight Royal Star Tour Deluxe.
I ride a Electra Glide Standard 1996-model( bought it for myself as a X-maspresent in dec 1995). I live in the Netherlands. Rode it in the USA in 2003 through 13 states; the best vacation I ever had!
2003 BMW F650CS and 1982 Honda CM450E but looking longingly at something bigger.
2001 Kawasaki ZR7S. I love it. First brand new bike I ever bought, but after putting 45,000 miles on it, I think I will probably have to start looking again.
2002 Kawasaki Voyager XII
1979 Suzuki GS1000, dark blue, stock except for sportier bars, about 30K miles. I don’t ride it much anymore, serious spousal approval issues, so it mainly sits comfortably in the garage.
I ride a 2004 1200 XLC- very lowered for the verically challenged. This is the bike I learned to ride on. I’m 56 and has been riding for 4-5 years. Next one will be a Softail DEluxe.
Knees to the Breeze!
My last bike was a BMW R1200C, a boxer-engined cruiser that is the most beautiful bike ever made.
Currently I ride a 2008 BMW R1200RT and put on 10,000 touring miles last summer. This year, I expect to tour some 15,000 miles.
A 1997 Harley Dyna Convertible. The EVO engine is very reliable, bike is very comfortable for long trips, saddlebags are huge. 80 c.i. is plenty. Chicks dig it! LOL
different rides for different moods….
favourite cruise: honda vtx 1800 v+h straight pipes
ethnic hang-up: bmw r1200 cl – looks like capt kirk’s enterprise

53,000 miles that are all mine… best sport bike made ever.
I ride an ‘08 H-D Super Glide Custom. It’s my 2nd bike and my 2nd Harley. Love the looks and the way she rides, great for cruising or longer, touring rides.
1970 Honda CB100
2002 customized Buell Blast
Harley Davidson 2005 Sportster 1200, screaming eagle kit with drag pipes… hauls butt!
2007 Orange and Black Harley Nightster
The “made in America” workhorse of the Honda family…a 1983 cb1000c. Four cylinders, split transmission (5 low / 5 high), high speed, bullet proof, machine of pure pleasure and fun!
Yamaha Fazer 1000 – A great fun ride!
I RIDE A 2006 YAMAHA ROAD STAR 1800 CHROMED OUT TO THE MAX AND MODIFIED TO HAVE DUEL EXHAUST . WITH MOST OF THE BELLS AND WHISTLES . BUT YOU KNOW HOW THAT IS YOU ALWAYS WANT MORE CHROME . BUT WHAT I REALLY WANT TO DO IS PUT THOSE BLUE ACCENT LIGHTS AROUND THE ENGINE TO HIGHLITE THE CHROME AT NIGHT
2007 Triumph Bonneville T100, red and black! Not surprised that I’m the first Triumph to post here. Compared to Japs and HD’s, you don’t see many Trumpets on the road, which is a BIG reason I ride one! It’s that “Go your own way” thing! Everyone and their brother (including mine) rides a Harley. I am in love with my Bonny!
Over the years I’ve owned many types and sizes of motorcycles. First licensed in 1966. Current scooter is a 2005 Suzuki C90 Blvd. Comfortable for both short and long rides!!
2007 Kawasaki Vulcan 1600 Classic.
Honda Shadow Spirit 1100 (2007)..LOVE this bike, it’s only my third one..Had a Honda Rebel 250 first, then for the next 19 years a Honda Nighthawk 750,and now this one. This is definitely my favorite, and most comfortable bike on long rides. And, saves gas over cars. I’m a real estate agent, and in good weather I have my clients follow me in their cars when we look at houses!! They love it!!
I ride an 06, Dragonfly Green, FLSTF, and I’m planning to be astride it when we escort “The Wall That Heals” from I-10 & Hwy 71 on 28 April at 9:00 AM CENTRAL. I believe in “to each his/her own,” but I do not appreciate the bad publicity that some fools on crotch rockets bring down on all of our heads. They are mostly kids, an entirely different breed of cat, and their agenda is one of excessive speed and recklessness. I could count on one hand the number that have shown for charitable events in our area.
I ride a ‘97 Suzuki Intruder 800. I love this bike – it’s a great bike for a woman rider. Been riding for 15 years and this is my 3rd bike and I plan to keep it for a long time.
I ride a 2003 Harley Heritage Softail with a 103 cubic inch Screaming Eagle motor.
My first bike is a 2006 Yamaha V-Star 650. I am mostly happy with it. Back gets a little sore on long rides, but I try to take frequent breaks. Can’t wait for spring!!!
My favorite is my custom Sportster 883, also have a 2007 Deluxe (still getting used to), a 2006 650GS BMW, and a 2006 250cc Aprilia Scooter that is a blast.
I ride a 2000 FXDX and a 1974 FXE
‘87 XL 1100 – - dependable – economical – peppy – comfortable & fun -:-

1984 YAMAHA VENTURE xvz-1200 W/ CALIFORNIA I, SIDECAR. Electric tilt/raise and lower. Love it. Dependable. Smooth ride with lots of power. Great for trips and sight seeing.

Had three Harleys, 2002 LowRider, 2007 Electra Glide, 2004 Heritage Classic. Sold the LowRider, Electra Glide, and still have my Harley Heritage Classic in my garage. My favorite of the three. Its has lots of chrome bling, runs good, dose not leak oil, sounds healthy, starts everytime, and both my wife a I enjoy riding comfortably. My wife just ordered a Eagle Leg kick stand for my birthday. I keep telling my self, I am done with the add on parts. This will be the last for sure. Ride safe…Mick
Ride a Suzuki GS 500 2001, great for work and longer rides as long as you can get off after a couple of hours. Highway speeds easy, abit crowded two up. Wife wants me to try out a goldwing this summer. Quite a change .
Everyday rider is an 05 Black & White Police Electra Glide…for fun it’s a 95 Honda Magna and the project bike is an 82 naked Gold Wing
1969 Harley Sportster, bought it for $100 and completely rebuilt it from the ground up. Really, how often do you find a complete Harley for $100?
1st bike – Honda 500 Shadow – an iron horse of a bike – shoulda kept it
Current bike – Honda VTX1300S – love this bike. It’s got everything now that I need for commuting or touring
2006 Kawasaki Vulcan 750. Love this bike… Try one…
I ride a 1985 Honda CB700S. A classic UJM – decent size, upright stance, shaft drive…what’s not to like?
When I returned to riding over 5 years ago, I wanted something with a little performance capability and bought a 1999 Suzuki Hayabusa- It’s a fantastic bike and I used it to commute on as well as took several long road trips on it. Over a year ago, I decided that touring on the Busa was getting to be a bit of a stretch, so I added a BMW 2004 R1150RT to the garage. It’s nice to have choices, but to be honest; I probably find my keester on the beemer more often. There’s something to be said for comfort…
Triumph Trophy 1969.
I’ve been riding it since 1972.
No 44 slowgator. You are not alone !
It’s my second bike. The first one was, you guessed it, another Trumpet 1969 !
Dead 1976 Kaw LTD 900 and 2008 Harley Street Glide
I ride an HD Electra Glide Classic FLHTC 2007,
I’m very happy with it, she’s positivelly excellent. Me and my wife have just returned fm a epic trip of 9,000 kilometers over Brazil/Argentina/nice Cordillera dos Andes/Chile/Uruguay. Have met plenty bikers in these hgws with BMW/KTM/Hondas/Dakkar modified machines that said we were crazy in riding a HD for such distant places. I can tell , that this model is really confortable, I had no pain in my back. This is one of the best model for riding long distance trips no matter the weather conditions be it hot desert, cold, climbing/descending winding roads…
I live in Brazil
‘03 Yamaha V-Star 1100 Clasic. Been riding 40 years on almost every make and I like the Yamaha. It’s twice the bike at half the price of the American competition.
My ride is a beautiful Suzuki Burgman 400, Scooter. Ater open heart surgery, cancer and 6 knee operations I was limited to what I could do. I took the MSF course and 2 1/2 years and 11,000 miles I still love riding my Burgman, My wife ride with me, I’m only 75 years old and hope to ride till I hit 100
04 Electraglide, wife a 08 Streetglide. Off, a 300 Fourtrax. Have ridden and owned pretty near most brand name bikes. Honda, Triumph, Yamaha, etc. Like the choice we have now.
1982 Yamaha XJ750 Maxim
`84 H-D FLH….If i ever wear this one out
i`ll get another one.(bought it new)
1st Bike. `47 Indian Chief…
I’ve ridden many Hondas and have loved them. I’ve had two Yamahas and enjoyed them as well.
I currently ride a Harley Davidson Softtail Deluxe. This is the most enjoyable bike I’ve ever owned and not because of the nameplate! I
love the retro look of the bike and the sound.
I have made it my own with chrome and Military
items that mean something to me. It’s a tribute bike to my unit and to all Veteran’s and the POW-MIA cause.I must say that the fit of this bike is also pleasing as I have short legs and don’t like being on my toes when stopped. This will be my last bike, unless something happens to it. I put 10,000 miles on it the first season I bought her in 2005.
I ride an 04 Honda VT750C Shadow Aero. Back on a bike after many years. 25 to be exact. My daughters are now on their own. I am off – yipee
2003 Honda Shadow VLX. Bought it used and has been a great first bike.
I ride a 2005 kawasaki nomad 1600. I use to ride a Honda 1100 Sabre. I like both bikes. The Honda was easier to handle at low speed.
For a very short time I rode a HD 1200XL Nightster, “the worst bike ever had” sold it very quickly and now I ride a real nice, smooth, powerful and above all, comfortable ZX14-NINJA 2007.
Ride safe,
brazeagle
Harley 2007 FLSTF (Fatboy) chromed out
I have two Motorcycles, a 2007 Harley-Davison Electra Glide Classic, with a number of extras, and a 2008 Honda Gl1800 Goldwing. Lots of miles and smiles on both. Extremely differently bikes. I enjoy both and would have a hard time deciding between which one I would keep if I had to choose.
I ride a 2006 Honda Goldwing, converted to a Champion Trike. Great ride and best tourer on the market.
98 Honda PC800
98 Honda Shadow Spirit 1100
05 Kawi KLR650
94 Kawi KLR250
All shared between Me, my wife and son.
I don’t have to many bikes, just to few hours in the day to ride.
Ruston # 66: Right on! My first Triumph was a ‘70 Bonneville T120R so I appreciate your ride. It was many years later that I saw the 07 T100 at Bike Week and got the bug again after being out of the saddle for a while.
So far, we are the only Triumphs. Be great to see a summary of all the responses here to see who rides what. My guess would be HDs would be 70%, Japanese and Euros 25% and Brits 5%.
What do you say Basem?
I ride a 07 V-star 650 Yamaha silverado loaded, first bike ever I am 60 yrs,
My husband rides a 02 V-star 1100 Yamaha silverado loaded, rode before he is 66, we both love it, cant wait till spring.
2002 Goldwing…now has over 30,000 miles. Great ride
I ride a 2006 Kawasaki Ninja 500R (first bike) and it’s been great for getting my skill level up. A highly recommended beginner bike.
I ride a 2000 BMW R1100R with factory windshield, barbacks, laminar lip, Givi saddlebags and luggage rack, green light magnet and a reworked stock seat with gel pad and narrowed front to allow me to get both feet on the ground. Use is pretty much casual touring and short day trips – did I mention that my wife HATES motorcycles?
I ride 2 old bikes. 1981 Virago XV750 and 1982 Virago XJ920
I ride a 1996 Honda Pacific Coast (PC 800). Some say the PC actually stands for PERFECT CYCLE, which I would not disagree with. I have owned a Honda Shadow Sprit 1100 & a Honda Vlalkyrie and for me the PC is the best ride. I just feel much more comfortable on it.
Up until October I had a 2005 Roadstar and loved it. I had been a typical old fart on a cruiser for the last few years. I sold the bike due to a long convoluted story, and shortly afterwards bought a 2001 FZ1 street bike for a knock around bike. To my shock, I actually like this style of ride much better. I have a three point sitting position that’s easier on the back, and have so much more control and maneuverability. It’s a keeper!
Now with my new youthful bike and with my full-faced helmet, it’s not until I remove the helmet that all the young girls faces look disappointed.
I ride an 07 Honda Shadow 1100. The bike is very personalized, and I do love it. Its an intermediate cruiser, but I have taken long distance trips on it, comfortably. I understand that this model is no longer offered. Too bad. I do have my eyes on A 1200RT BMW. BE safe
I ride a 2006 Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad.
2008 Kawasaki Vulcan Classic LT
After having NOT ridden for 20 years (living in the DC area should explain that), I’m currently riding a 2005 Yamaha 1300 Royal Star Touring Deluxe. My previous, and starter, was a 1980 Honda CX 500 Custom.
2009 Piaggio MP3 400 w/medium windscreen and large top box.
I ride a Kawi Vulcan Nomad bought new in July 2001 after demoing one at Americade. She now has almost 60,000 trouble free miles on her and still looks as good , if not better, than the day she came home.
I have a ‘96 Sportster. It’s great for around town and plenty of power for the highway.
mine great bike plenty of power, for me ,
SUZUKI C50
1984 H.D. FXE Shovelhead, a beautiful black and chromed out scooter I bought new, a great bike and it runs like a top!
Let’s see’ I’ve been riding for 48 years and have owned 18 bikes. The longest I’ve ever kept a bike was a 1981 Honda CB750F (bought new in ‘82) until I bought a new Suzuki DL650 (wee-strom) in January 2006. I put almost 120K on that Honda. In retirement I’ve been going to art school so I haven’t been riding much. Have only 10K on the WeeStrom. I am an “adventure” rider and have been to all the 48 lower states, 9 Canadian provinces plus the Yukon and Alaska. Also, I’ve ridden extensively in the Republic of South Africa. Riding is relaxation for me and I am the inveterate tourist. Biking lets me talk to all sorts of folks and see all sorts of places. I’ve met riders in their 80s and when I’m that old I hope to still be riding. As far as my bike tastes go I like displacements of between half and 3/4 litres, 5 gallon or better fuel tanks and V-twins. Reliability is of utmost importance. My current ride has everything I want and is a keeper unless something “a lot better” comes along in the adventure bike category.
TallDee

04 Triumph Speed Triple
01 Triumph Sprint RS
I didn’t see many Triumphs in your comments, they must all be out riding.
2008 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic/Black
2006 Honda Shadow AERO. Best bike out there for a short person! I’m 5′2″ and have no trouble planting my feet and handling this bike. It’s my 5th bike, 2nd AERO. Regular gas and hardly any maintenance. The ONLY thing I hate about not having a Harley anymore is saying I have one. LOL

1999 Kawasaki Vulcan 750. First bike and I like it, but not my last.
Very interesting thread. I’m surprised by how few HDs there are relative to their presence in the media and on the road.
After years of Gold Wings, I got an ‘01 Valkyrie Interstate, black with the full touring package. I love it, but it’s way too heavy. Next bike will either be a trike or a large scooter as I have some balance issues. Love the bike though.
Started riding a 1978 Triumph T140V. Got a wife, kids, bills and had to get rid of the bike. Boy, if I had a nickle for everytimeI heard that…
Once they were all gone (except for the wife and a couple of bills) picked up a 2007 Triumph America. Absolutely LOVING it!!!
Have a GREAT Day and have fun.
Re-entered the two-wheel world with a Vespa ET4 a few years back. When I needed to upgrade, I did a lot of research and decided on a …

1976 KZ650
1986 GL1200A
2004 H/D Roadglide
I now ride a 2002 750 Honda Shadow Delux. The only complaint comes from the other half. She complaines of the ride when we double up. She suggested a bigger bike. (can you believe that????) So I’ve been to a Harley dealer in Woodstock, Il. Been lookin at a Road King or Ultra Glide Tourer. It’ll be used ofcourse. The economy is a factor. Happy riding this season.
2006 Harley-Davidson Dyna Wide Glide
1977 BMW R75/5,burnt orange. A real hoot to ride.
2009 Aprilia Mana 850. I debated a long time about getting an automatic, didn’t seem right at first. Now, I can’t imagine going back. Riding in the City is not a hassle anymore and it sure doesn’t affect the joy of riding.
I ride a 2007 Triumph Speed Triple.
It’s my 5th bike in 27 years of riding. The Speed Triple is the perfect combination of handling prowess, performance, and comfort.
I have oned them all but all ways go back to a harley i now have a 1982 low rider. I enjoy your articals very much keep them coming. By the way i have been riding since befor i could walk. 2003 Gold Wing GL 800l 1800, abs, 41,000 so far.
I love touring with no particular destination in mind.I’m retired so I’m in no rush, just go where I please, stay as long as I want whenever I want, come back home when I’m ready. I try to stay off Interstates and major highways. One of my favorite things is to go to a local dinerin some rural town and spread a map over he table. Without fail it draws locals to my table, from whom I learn a lot about where to go and what to see.

‘03 Kawa Mean Streak 1500cc. Like it enough would buy another one. Was off a bike for 35? yrs then decided to get back on, to keep it short. Was afraid that bike would be a little big for me considering the length of time but we’ve grown together quite well, 18k miles in 1st yr.

When I turned 50, I bought my first motorcycle. (I’am a water sports guy.)I don’t think I can die as a true American if I didn’t own a Harley at some time in my life. So now 4.5yrs later. I have 30 thousand exhilerating miles of sights, sounds and smells not experienced in a cage. My steed is an 05′ 1200 custom deluxe Sportster. My peers want me to trade in for a bigger bike. my 5′8″ frame loves the torque, weight and ergonomics of this bike. It truley fits me like a glove. Thanks Harley.

Suzuki 2007 DL650 V Strom or as it is called Wee strom. There is nothing wee about this bike . It has all the power and handling that anyone could want in an adventure touring bike. It’s my first bike and I think I will keep it around for a while. Now get out and ride safe.
I work at a Harley dealership but…gasp..my fiance just bought a Triumph! It’s a 2007 Bonneville. Buddy Stubbs, our dealership owner has vintage Triumphs in his museum here and well, my guy, fell in love..again.

VERY EXPENSIVE!
Have an AIRBORNE day!
Moto Guzzi Breva 750… truly a marvelous ride!
Currently I ride a 1994 Honda GL1500 Gold Wing. I ride it everywhere–it’s big and heavy but it does everything a car does but with more fun. My second bike is 1979 KZ650SR that I am “restoring” while still running it. It’s got the gas tank where it belongs, a kickstarter, and is a great contrast to my Gold Wing.
I currently ride an ‘05 HD Ultra Classic which I upgraded from a 06 Street Bob. I love the Ultra but miss the light weight Street Bob for around city streets. I am considering a second bike for in town riding.
Hi. I started off ten years ago on a 600cc Yamaha Diversion. Not sure what they’re called in USA (Radian?). Two years later I graduated to a 1995, 885cc (900) Candy Apple Red, Triumph Trident Sprint. It’s classed as a sports tourer, goes like s**t off a shiney shovel and regularly returns 50 – 55 mpg. Although it’s big and heavy it’s really easy to manouvre. If the weather wasn’t so crap in Northern Ireland I would get to ride it more often, lets hope it’s a bit better this year.
Hi There.
Following a friend and I restoring it in 1999 my only ride is my redoubtable 1929 BSA 500cc Single 2 Port Light, which I’ve owned since I was 17 (a basket case for most of that time). As Bryan Adams sang, I’m now 18 going on 55..
It was my Dad’s best mate’s bike as sadly my Dad’s last bike (a 1938 Levis) was ’seconded’ by the Australian Army during WWII for use as a despatch motorcycle, and apparently left in the Western Sahara somewhere.
Cheers,

2007 YZFR6. I love all motorcycles but I just have a thing for Yamaha. I know, Honda owns the overall quality award, Ducati gets the design and looks and Kawasaki gets ergo. Yamaha seems to be focused on engineering much that Nissan is the same with cars.
I just like bikes. Anything with 2 wheels is cool with me.
2006 Yamaha Road Star
I ride a 2003 Victory Vegas and the wife rides a 2007 Harley Duluxe. Reading through all of the comments there are less Harley Davidsons than I would have expected. Looks like the majority of your readers are metric owners.

Black and Chrome 2006 Victory Hammer. My first bike and love since taking the MSF course four years back. I truely believe Victory is trying to put out a quality machine! My next will be a Jackpot or Vision depending if my wife wants to do some baggin’.
Hi;
I’m one my fourth bike now. I worked up from a 250 Honda Rebel, 650 Honda Shadow, Harley 1200C Sportster and now own a 2007 Victory Jackpot. I absolutely love it!! It looks good and rides good.
I bought an end of season 2008 Yamaha FJR 1300 last fall. Studied, talked with others, and made the choice. Sport touring was where I focused on, and the FJR is one sweet ride if you like to gobble up the miles. Have no regrets, no complaints, but looking forward to putting more miles on it.
I ride a 2002 Honda Shadow 750 ACE. It is my first street bike, I have had many long trips on it and it has served me well. I am a big guy, 6′4″ 300lbs, and it is a little underpowered, but gets up and goes just fine. It’s black and chrome and fits in among the big boys here in Milwaukee.

Hmmmmm….not a lot of Gold Wings, and some posted their past bikes, so lemme think….
Kawasaki H2 750 triple, in Germany, fastest sprinter auf der strasse, couldn’t afford to ship her home from Germany, so I sold her for a pittance, wish I still had her.
Kawasaki KZ400, nice little street cruiser, left that honey in Germany cuz I couldn’t ship her home.
Honda 650 Nighthawk, sweet bike, but chain drive, shipped her to Germany and back (they are now an RV, not a vehicle, so Uncle Sam ships it).
Yamaha XS1100…huge bike, I never felt truly in control, even if I was.
Honda GL 1200…my first Gold Wing, I always felt as if I were in control, even if I knew I wasn’t…(headshake anybody?)
Another GL1200…in the shop for engine transplant and it got stolen…never got to ride that one.
My beauty, 1993 GL1500 Aspencade, my wife bought her on E-Bay, gorgeous bike, white with Aspens painted all around.
1996 BMW R1100RS

I bought a V-Strom Dl100 2 years ago. I upgraded from a 2003 Suzuki Savage. I love it although its a bit heavy for the forest service roads. I’m looking at buying a Kawasaki 650 KLR but that might have to wait until the economy rcovers some. My neighbour and I are planning an Alaska/Dempster Highway trip this summer.
I ride a Harley 2007 Street Glide. I love this bike, great for long rides and has lots of power to it.

I ride a 2007 Suzuki Boulevard M50. My wife (Teri) has a 2009 Kawaski Vulcan 900.
I currently ride an ‘08 Harley Ultra Classic with a MotorTrike conversion. Went with a trike so that my wife will ride. (She refuses to ride 2-wheels). I miss 2-wheeling but I’m getting used to the trike and its nice to be able to share the ride with my Wife.
My ride is vintage 1982 Suzuki GS650G….shaft drive, comfortable riding position and easy to repair myself (usually seasonally!) as 27 year old bits and pieces succumb age and wear…
I ride the most perfect bike made…..
2006 Suzuki VStrom DL1000…
Also a 1993 Honda Shadow vt1100c….
I ride a Yamaha 2008 Venture S. It just may be Yamaha’s best kept secret. It has room, power, a five year warranty, looks like a real motorcycle, and to top it all off, cruise control. My wife and I rode it from Oklahoma to North Carolina and Wisconson this past summer and loved every minute of the ride.
I ride a 2004 Suzuki Bandit 1200S, which is my third bike in 8 yrs. I love it more each time I get on it, though I wish I had another Honda Magna (my first bike) to sit beside it.
2005 Hot Pink Glitter HD Sportster. My first bike, and my first shot a riding my own bike. I now also own a 2002 HD Red Dyna Wide Glide.
I’ve been riding a 2004 Honda VTX1300C since buying it new, and it’s a great cruiser after installing a Mustang seat and Switchblade windscreen.
Just bought a slightly used 2008 Kawasaki Concours 14 last December. Great bike and quite a transition from the VTX.

Current ride a 2005 Triumph Speedmaster.First brand new bike I had bought in 22 years.Been a great bike she only has 52,000 miles and going strong. Now if I can just resist boring the engine out until I get 100,000 miles. It’s tempting.
HONDA VTX 1300S MY WIFE BOUGHT ME FOR FATHER’S DAY,THATS LOVE, I THINK

I ride a 2005 Honda VTX1300R and it is a great cruiser! I first started riding in the spring of 2004 on a 1994 Honda Shadow 1100 and really liked it but wanted more of cruiser than a sport/cruiser. I’m 5′6″ and the VTX is a low and well balanced cruiser that I can easily handle yet my husband says it is a real movin’ machine! He know cuz his regular ride is a Vulcan VN2000 which is a monster cruiser (way to heavy for me). I have tricked up my VTX without touching the motor or exhaust but the chrome, lights and leather are pretty darn nice. I think I’ll be keeping it for a while – Hondas are “bullet proof” and a joy to ride.
Current steeds: 2003 Honda VTR1000F, 2008 Kawasaki ZG1400 Concours. Work gets in the way of my riding…
I’m riding a 2007 FXD Dyna. Changed the bars and seat. About it. Mostly high miles
1997 Yamaha Virago 535S.
Bought it in Feb ‘07 with 6200 miles on the clock. Now has 19000+ and climbing. Love it!
Suzuki SV650S – From good old South Africa, 46 yrs young, and already 34+ years in the saddle on various other makes and models;
my almost 18-year old daughter loves her Honda CBR125;
my just turned 16-year old son prefers his Honda Bros 125 (hints like mad for a ‘Busa when he finishes school, even after seeing the discussion about it a while ago)
Will of course never allow him to own one until he is at least 45…
and Mom is totally against the three of us enjoying ourselves on the roads, but that’s life!
2007 Harley Electra Glide Classic
2001 Honda 750 Shadow ACE with saddlebags, windshield, highway bars and passenger backrest. Nice for cruising the back roads of Georgia.
Haven’t ridden 50 years; so I started back with a 2008 Yamaha 650 V-Star Custom. Since I have ridden mostly English bikes, my next will probably be a Bonneville.
2002 Suzuki Volusia
‘07 XL1200R Sportster. Aftermarket aircleaner and pipes to open it up a little bit. A great all around bike.
I ride a Suzuki, Boulevard C50 Lehman Trike. It’s great, I still have to get use to the weight in turns, there’s no rake tree made for my trike so the steering needs some muscle in a turn. Other than that, trike is the only way to go for me.
2000 Honda Shadow Spirit
2008 Gold Wing
2004 Honda Shadow VLX
I ride an 05 Suzuki SV1000S. I ride it to work and the occasional weekend trip. It’s a great bike. My next bike will be a Harley Cross Bones.
I ride two old Hondas a 1981 Cb900C and a 1983 CB1000C both are 10 speeds
a 2006 Road King …FLHR
2006 Harley Davidson XL883L
2005 Chonda scooter
I ride a 2009 Harley Superglide Custom. The bike I had prior to this was a Suzuki 1600 cruiser. The Harley feels more nimble than the Suzuki. This is my 14th bike and second Harley.
2007 Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic Electraglide, fully dressed out and modified.
I ride a 2002 FLHT that was totaled by a dog jumping out of a truck on me. Six weeks after the wreck I rode to Chicago and back. It helps to know a great mechanic/
I ride a all wheel drive 2008 Rokon Trail-Breaker. It goes absolutely anywhere. It is also easy to ride.
I have a big scooter.600 cc & its great,I had a moto Guzzi , which I lived , but Ican’t feel to shift ,after my stroke, so thiswas the best bike4 me I love it & I can keeo up with oher riders in my club, at hiwayspeeds…

Greetings. Through the years, I’ve had the pleasure of riding serveral bikes and enjoyed them all. Now, I feel the time has come for the non polluting, i.e., electric/alternative
motorcycle to come to “light”. There are several companies that seek to come to fruition. Surely, we stand at the “crossroads” of innovation. It is surely an exciting time to be a motorcyclist! Ride Safe! GOD Bless!
A 2005 Boulevard C90 (1500 cc). The custom gel seat and handlebar risers I put on make it the most comfortable bike I have ever ridden, (or for that matter ever sat on). Ergonomically, it is perfect for a 260 lb guy in his late 50’s.
1990 Suzuki VX800 – and I wouldn’t have in any other way. I love the fact that 90% of motorcyclists don’t know what it is when they see one!
I have a 1975 Yamaha DT250 that is mint. That is my around-town moto. My main bike is a 2005 Yamaha FJR 1300. That bike is just about perfect and does it all real well.
2006 Honda 599 – short enough for me (5″4″) to ride and learn on and with enough zip and power to keep riding for years to come. My husband rides a 2004 Honda Shadow Aero 750. I am the one that went crazy over riding and convinced him to start riding again.
I ride a RT1100 1996 BMW. A dream bike. Costs a fortune to take to BMW but it has everything and rides like a magic carpet. So smooth with Ohlins. Love the motorized windshield, heated grips and vest, plenty of storage. Love everything but the prices.
I have an ‘05 Kaw Concours which I bought new as a left-over in Spring of ‘06. Just went in the dealership “to look around” and left w/ info to investigate both general information as well as financing. Yeah, I know it’s a bit dated but so am I! Max bang-for-the-buck. I REALLY like it.
1978 KZ 650B. Shiny and creampuff. My Kawasaki is all paid for too! Hoo-weeee.
I ride a 2008 Harley-Davidson 105th Anniversary Ultra Classic and a 2008 Yamaha WR250R dual-sport. The Yamaha helps keep the miles down on the Hog as I tend to put approx. 20,000 miles a year on my bikes.
I ride a Yamaha Stratoliner that I purchased almost three years ago. Just the latest in a 40 yr(yikes) span from minibikes and dirtbikes as a kid through various hondas, kawasakis and a bmw gs. This is clearly the finest bike I heve ever owned and it gives me pleasure to ride it as well just to look at it sitting in the garage during the week. I have about 12k miles on it now, not a lot but not a little either with all the demands of family and work. There is nothing better than a ride to make me feel better about my life and I hope to be a rider for a long time to come.
I’ve been riding street bikes for 13 years now and have had a few bikes in that time. Right now I am enjoying Triumph’s Daytona 675, quite possibly one of the funnest bikes out there. I have nothing but great things to say about this bike.
1987 Kawasaki Ninja 750. No school like the ol… you know.
2002 Suzuki 1400 Intruder – It’s my Harley look-a-like at half the price. Living in Illinois, I ride it in the spring thru fall and every year usually head for the western states; Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Utah, Idaho, Washington. This summer heading to California following the southern route. It rides low and fast with lots of torque. And it goes and goes and goes… I love this bike!
I will get a cruiser in the next 3 months, but I’m not sure which one. It may be the v-star 950, I like the price, and the looks, but since I am 6′2″ 185 lbs. it may be to small for me, plus the ground clearance its not very good I heard. What cruiser should I get Mr. Basem Wasef???
Been on Hd`s since 1962. Through the AMF yr`s also. Now ride a 2005 Rd. king Classic, Still not old enough for a dresser . Best ride had to be the Cascade Mountain Range of Washington St. And British Columbia OMG.mother nature at her finist. Trun offs are newbies profiling .Trying to talk the talk & walk the walk.Only Asphalt experience and time will educate them. As they say, Live to Ride, Ride To Live . Macho Man
I ride a 2004 Suzuki dl650..a Wee Strom..it runs lke a top and does everything well but I am thinking of a second bike that would tour better since at 6′2″..I am a large fellow and I do get sorta cramped at times.
Current: ‘03 CB750SC Nighthawk; ‘78 CB750 SOHC
Former: ‘06 Bonniville Black; ‘05 Roadstar Midnight Silverado. The Silverado was too big to be a daily driver, The Bonny was too small. The Nighthawk is my daily ride & the ‘78 is a restoration I’m working on…slowly.
I ride a 1994 Hayley Davidson Dyna Convertible. Although it is not very stock anymore.
last year had my 1500 intruder backed over, replaced it with 1500 kawasaki nomad, also have 800 intruder
Have a 2004 Honda Shadow Sabre, red with windshield, engine guard with pegs, and bags.
Have had smaller bikes up to the 650 Tempter, but wanted a cruiser. For the money the Shadow
has been a great bike. Want to do some long rides and this bike should be able to take me about anywhere I want to go.
2000 Harley 883 Sportster Hugger (commuter)
1998 Honda Goldwing (cross country)
I was 55 years old when I got my first bike. It is a 2004 Yamaha V Star 1100. I took the MSF course and probably went too big for my first bike. Took me a whole summer to feel comfortable with it. But I’m loving it now.

VTR1000. Long live V-Twins!
I ride a Kawasaki W650 most weathers for work and leisure.
2005 Kawasaki ZZR1200. Being in the motorcycling business professionally, I get to ride many different bikes, but there is no other bike currently on the market I would rather have. Concourse 14, ST1300, K1200S, FJR1300 etc. are bigger, heavier and/or have less power; Hayabusa & ZX-14 have great engines but cramped seating and poor wind protection; BMW R, Ducati, Aprilia, Moto Guzzi call 2-cylinder vibrations “character”, I just call them “annoying”. Don’t get me wrong: great bikes, all of them. But the ZZR hits my sweet spot.
A 2008 BMW R1200GS. It’s the perfect bike for me!
2004 Honda Shadow Aero VT750
2004 Kawasaki Nomad This is the best bike Ive ever owned,Cant wait for the weather to stay warm to get on the road for longer trips.Riding short trips in the colder wheather.
1972 VW 1876 CUSTOM TRIKE
I began riding a “MOTORCYCLE” at the grand young age of 44!I was a total “BICYCLE RIDER”,initially partly out of neccessity and later for the simple reason of my parents not permitting me to ride a bike due to the dangers involved. Finally at age 44 purchased a “Bajaj Wind-125cc” which is made in collabration with “Kawasaki” and the rest as they say is “MOBIKE MANIA”. I intend riding a bike as long as it doesn’t kill me or my physical fitness doesn’t permit the same, whichever earliest, thats the kind of passion i have for “Mobiking” and Sonny Barger of “Hells Angels” is one of my “Guru’s” and rolemodel biker.
Happy biking, whatever the “Horse-power”,”Cost” or “Model” of the bike.
slowgator,
I totally understand the desire to calculate the percentages of brands & models, but I think it’s just kinda cool to take a broad look at how eclectic this group is– and how passionate everybody is about their ride!
Jay,
What kind of cruiser are you looking at? A touring cruiser? A power cruiser? A more traditional cruiser? Let me know and we can bounce some ideas back and forth… you should also visit our forum and post the query there. I guarantee you’ll get a lot of great responses!

2005 Yamaha FZ6. Good all rounder. plenty of zip, light, reasonably comfortable.
2009 Piaggio MP3 400ie. Way too much fun… People point because they’re not used to seeing a 3 wheeled scooter, but I’ve gotten used to that.
2004 Triumph Thunderbird Sport
we did drive 1200 HD Sportster until a dude in a Ford Explorer cut off my man. Now we are looking for a new bike. Any suggestions?

2005 Yamaha Roadstar 1700 Midnight Silverado
Black and Crome. Like someone said Yamaha’s best kept secret.
2000 Roadking, standard, 68k+ miles, been to South Dakota twice, went to the Arch last summer after Milwaukee, loved Colorado, Utah, Arizona and the ride through Kentucky was great too. Love the long rides…..
I’ve been riding since I was 16 years old and still going strong. Currently I’m riding a 1984 Honda Gold Wing GL1200 Interstate and enjoying every minute of it. A great, old bike with lots of class. Fully dressed and garage kept, it’s a real eye turner. It’s a very dark, indigo blue that looks black unless it’s in sunlight. With a bit of normal upkeep, it just keeps on running!
2002 Suzuki DR650 Dual-Sport. I grew up with dual-sport (called them enduros back then) bikes in the 70’s. Tried sport bikes and cruisers. I just prefer the upright DS bikes. I would probably like a lot of today’s standards and naked bikes.
BMW R1200ST
And in the garage – a 50cc VMoto!
I’ve been riding since 16 yrs. old (I’m a 56 yr. old geezer now)
1. Honda CB160
2. BSA 441 Victor
3. Suzuki 1400 Intruder
4. BMW R90/6
5. A restored 1969 Soviet-built KMZ 750 w/sidecar 2WD w/limited slip differential. It is the most “FUN” motorcycle I have ever owned. Do not confuse it with it’s later brethern, the Dnepr, often seen on Ebay, and most are assembled from factory rejected parts.
It is not a cruiser or sport bike. It might be considered a dual-sport or dual-purpose.
regardz…
I ride a 2006 Suzuki 1400cc S83 Boulevard Intruder. It’s the best bike I’ve ever owned or ridden. It handles great. It’s well made. I’m sold on “Metric Cruisers”

My next bike will be a GS 1200 BMW.
1989 Honda NX250
I’ve ridden an ‘03 Victory Vegas and really like it a lot! The purdiest motorcycle on the road with the comfort and ergonomics of a touring bike. Much more power than I’ll ever use but nice to know it’s there if I need it. Plan to keep Vic for a long time.
2004 HD Softail Standard that I bought new after a 27 year absense from riding. 25k miles so far. Been all over the eastern part of the U.S. Whether 10 miles of errand running in town, or 700+ mile days on a trip. She does it all for me.

I ride a 1998 HD Sportster “Sport Model” XL 1200. This is the bike that shipped direct from the factory came with dual plug headers, hot cams, and ignition. It has a compression ratio of 10.0:1. This is a fast bike at only 500 lbs. I have been told that by adding a S&S Stage 1 kit the bike will gain a real boost in HP.
2003 Honda ST1300A. I bought this bike in 3/03, in 12/4 I gave my car keys 01 BMW convertible to my son. Since them I have been riding every single day to work and all over the island of Puerto Rico. I’ve owned HD’s and other Yamahas including a loved Warrior but this one’s by far my favorite cruiser so far and I get many compliments. Long live the metric cruiser and especially go Yamaha!
I ride a black 2004 Suzuki 1500 Intruder with some add-ons like side bags, mini windshield and cobra exhaust system. Great cruiser and very reliable!
Currently own and ride every possible day a 2006 Kawasaki Concours (the last of the greatest bike every built) since 5/1/2006 with 30986 this morning, 3/7/2009. I have ridden it twice from Pittsburgh, PA to OK City, OK and back. I entered MS on I44 with a full tank of gas and filled up at the first St. Louis exit; 302 miles and 7.197 gallons; a whole state on one tank of gas. Try that on the new Concours 14 or any other motorcycle built today for twice the money. All I have added is a brake light modulator and a throttlemeister. Replaced the tires with Avon Storms twice. I am averaging 44 miles per gallon and I usually ride at least 15 miles over the posted speed limit. Kawasaki really messed up when they stopped making this one.
My first bike is a Black 2004 Honda VT1100C. It has 28K miles and runs great. Found a great deal locally on EBay. I’m 55 and just started riding in October ‘08. Why did I wait so long???

After getting real bored of my Supercharged Heritage Dyna Springer, yea I know Harley never built one of those, but I did!
See: http://www.rbracing-rsr.com/lsr21/supercharged.html
It’s not how fast you go, it’s how far you can go! Ant the wonderful thing about Bio-Diesel, You’re not running on poison and your shit actually doesn’t STINK!
See you in the funny papers,
Dave
I have been riding for most of 50 years and have had many bikes. Recently I had a vtx1300r and had lots of problems. I traded it in for a Stratoliner (S) to which I have added a Mustang seat, Cobra pipes, K&N air filter and PowerCommander computer. The bike handles great and is a real screamer. Needles to say, I LOVE IT.

I ride a 2007 c90t and love it. It’s like riding a livingroom. Great for 400+ mile days. really comfortable and powerful bike. Love it…..!
A Kawasaki W650 to replace a CBR600RR. Sounds ridiculous, I know, but the CBR is cool for fooling around and scaring the crao put of me. Loved it… but I love the W650 a lot more, it is friendly, rare, confortable, fast enough and – best of all – I have never seen another one on the roads. Love being weird and unique.
To name a few of my “babies”:
Suzuki x7 1980
Kawasaki zx 9 R 2000
Intruder 1400 fully Customized 2002 (pushing 50 so I’m becoming a bit laid back!
Cheers!
I ride a 2004 1200 HD Sportster XLC with almost 30k trouble free miles on it now. Thats one tuff dependable fun ride.
I ride a 07 boulevard C90 and this bike is the most comfortable bike I’ve ever owned. I am a veteran rider of metric and American bikes. I have ridden numerous 500 -600 mile days and not really to fatigued. The bike is set up for touring including GPS. It runs great in really any kind of weather or altitude. Two up is a breeze. Not quite a Goldwing or Ultra Classic but I really really enjoy and recommend it. Keep riding, and be safe…!
I ride a 07 Street Glide
I ride a 07 Street Glide, cuz u ain’t ridin if you ain’t glidin

Ist bike suzuki GT380, 2nd yamaha 500, twenty five years later(summer of 2009)I bought a used vulcan 750 with 12,000 miles in great shape. Pretty scarey test ride after all those years but I’m getting a feel for it again. And totally enjoying it, wierd feeling riding a cruiser, foot position and all. God willing this will not be last bike and I’m already thinking Sturgis and Daytona– I love this long lost new feeling. 55 and still Kickin.
At the moment a KLR 250 Kawasaki for off roading, my regular bike day to day bike is a Suzuki Bandit. I’m in the process of restoring a BMW R80GS
I ride an 09 blue suzuki boulevard M90. Love the looks, handling and everything else about it. Plus its something different. Nothing like asking a guy so what bike do you ride? He says a Harley and you ask which one, he says the black one. You then ask which black one. Nothing against Harley’s just that I like something different. Ride Safe

I have two bikes, a BMW 1150RT for long distance work and a KLR 650 for the many dirt roads in the mountains around Eureka, California.
2005 Royal Star 1300cc Tour Delux. Black and Red.
I ride a 1979 Harley FLH-93. this is my choice because I like it a lot;it’s comfortable, looks good, gets relatively good mileage and works perfectly for my type of riding (Mostly highway, lots of commuting, some exploring, about 10% dirt/gravel roads/cow trails, etc.,hauling stuff home from swap meets, etc.Year ’round riding, when the snow’s not too deep.) Due to some shortcuts by the previous owner,it wasn’t too reliable when I got it,but I have it good to go now.
Bought my first bike two years ago. Now i know whast I’ve been missing. It what I could afford, but looking to a future purchase.
2004 – 1100 Honda Sabre
04 Road King
Bikes I have owned:

‘76 Honda 550-F S/S
‘04 Yamaha V-Star 1100 Classic
Present ride:
2006 Yamaha Roadliner 1900 (113″): gorgeous, powerful, smooth, reliable, confortable. Did I mention powerful?
After many many years of not riding, in 06 I bought Honda Shadow VLX600. At 72 I don’t anything to prove to myself or others. Has never broke down and handles great. Put a mustang seat and highway bars on it. Small tank so I have to stop and fuel up more than I like but it’s always time for nature calls anyway.
I ride a suzuki dr800s big 1990, is great but little bit heavy, also ktm LCR 640.. i ride near the pyramids, and sakkara ….is great .. you are welcomed to join motocross and enduro fans,
Beautiful 2003 V star 650 classic though looking for a better touring machne, say a Road King
I have a 1999 VALKYRIE Interstate and absolutely love it! 90+K miles and no problems. After several Harley’s & Goldwings I wouldn’t trade this for any of them. This is the keeper. No wonder the Valk was named the “bike of the decade” for the ’90’s. Why Honda quit producing the Valk I will never understand. Fabulous ride! Puts all the fun back into big bikes.
I started riding bikes again about 6 years ago and I have changed my bike every year since. Honda,BMW, Harley, but I cant find the right bike for me?
I am 5ft10inchs so I have had to compamise high tech bikes for low seat hight machines. I own a Harley at the moment 2009 super glide custom, but although I like the bike I miss the smooth power and agile hadling of my BMW before it. I have my sights on the new multistrada but the seat hight puts me off.
My first, current, and only bike is a 1976 Suzuki GT380 two-stroke triple. I love it. I’m hoping someday to get a hold of an old 1940’s-1960’s BMW, Matchless, Triumph, or BSA to fix up and tour around on.
planning to buy a 2004 yamaha fz1 fazer. what do you suggest. how is the bike? hows accelaration and top speed. i live in India
2006 Suzuki S83 with a Mustang seat is my current and all time favorite bike. Recently sold a 2003 Honda Nighthawk 750 with 50K on the clock, and still running fast and strong. wife rides a Suzuki S50 and loves it. It handles well and is amazingly fast!
I am now restoring a 1990 Suzuki VX800 that I bought back from a friend for Brunei $1000. The bike was mine 1991-1995, brand new. I still cannot recall why I really let her go but I am so glad to have her back! Somehow all those years I had a remote feeling that she would come to me, and she did late last year….
I have a 2006 Yamaha Vstar 1100 custom, it does not come with a fuel gauge; the bike i believe has a 4.5 gallon tank & at about 100 miles i need to refuel. I ride at about 70mph on highway. i was told that i may get about 45mpg, but that is not the case. Can anybody figure out why i need to refuel when i ride a 100 miles and can i get an aftermarket gas gauge for my bike. Ran out of gas too many times and had to switch to reserve tank
I ride a 2007 Suzuki c90. I have this chrome giant customized to the hilt. It is sooo comfortable and reliable. This bike is a great bike 21,000 miles and zero problems. Ride hard and stay safe !!
I ride an 01 goldwing 1800….good combination of power, handling (under 5km sucks still as bike is a tad high and way heavy), corners like a crotch rocket (well almost…scrape all the time…lol) and I get an avg of 49 MPG. For a heavy touring bike it moves out real good, always rolls on demand even when lugging down low in 4th and 12 to 1500 rpm.
Went from on-ramp to full power entry to freeway and my son had trouble keeping up with me on his tricked out 600 naked superbike…all he could say was “that thing is fast!”. Have had her buried and near redline to do that (150mph and smooth!). Good enough for me and I been riding for 41 years.
0-60 listed as 4.35 is slow as I have had mine under 3.89 trapped speed and I weigh 180lbs…used to race a naked 500 Kawi triple in late 60’s and naked 750 Honda when they first came out and over the years have raced a few others so maybe that helped.
Love to tour….2200 KM in 2 1/2 days was a cake walk…no soreness…just pure fun!
A 2010 Kawasaki Ninja 250, green and black. 1st bike, bought last year. Glad I started on a 250, but with I didnt buy brand new…ready to upgrade now:) not for speed but for power to commute. I love the ninjas but got my eye on an R6- very comfy.
1971 H-1 Kawasaki Mach-III 500 my dad bought the bike used in 1973 in great shape i got the bike from him in 1978 i rode the bike till spring of 1981 replace it with a 1982 GSL 850 Suzuki, had several other bikes over the years and the old H-1 has been sitting in the garage for 28 years,i dugg it out a few weeks ago cleaned the carbs and got new tires she is back on the road again!
700 MAXIM YAMAHA 1985
While i do ride on the back of my bffs Yamaha Road Star touring bike most of the time. He did buy me my first starter bike, im a beginner, a Honda Rebel 250, I will be on this bike until i have perfected it and the technique so im enjoying it to the max.
I am the proud owner of a 2002 Honda 750cc Shadow classic edition, great bike with plenty of grunt but still easily handled in tight spots. Would recommend this bike to anyone! Love the look, feel and ride it provides. Thanks Honda.
