Why You Should Ride a Motorcycle to Work on June 15th

MotorcyclesWhy do we ride motorcycles? I gave ten reasons in this article and asked for your thoughts-- and the answers are as different as the people who choose to ride.

Next week's 18th annual Ride to Work Day is a great opportunity to express not only that you ride, but why you ride. The grassroots effort will be held this Monday, June 15th, and enables non-riders to see what the fuss is all about; even though 25 million people swung a leg over and rode a motorcycle last year according to the MIC's latest findings, there are still plenty of folks who just don't "get" motorcycles and scooters.

Whether you choose to ride for the gas savings, easy parking, or simply for the thrill of it, ride to work this Monday to show why you choose two wheels. And who knows-- your co-workers might even experience a bit of moto-envy and start asking questions about how to buy their first bike.

I am hoping to ride on Monday which will mean one less car in a really tight parking lot. The bike get 50 mpg, and gas in going up again. Hey and that big grin I have on my face on days I ride.

Early April~ Early Nov, I ride to work just about every day.
As maudlin and cheesy as it might sound, I find it put’s a better outlook on the whole day, as it is simply a great way to start it!

I don’t get the weekend only riders, or the people who tell me “My wife won’t let me have a bike”. That said I have a darling wife who likes bikes almost as much as I do….’sides -when I have the bike she has the car, so there is a method to her madness!
Have a great Monday, Tuesday, Wed ……….
