2009 Ducati Streetfighter S Review: A Naked Version of a Stellar Predecessor
Do you ache-- I mean, literally ache in your wrists, shoulders, and back-- for a low slung superbike? As lustworthy as Ducati's fully-faired 1198 and 848 might be, their ergonomics are extreme enough to make long rides a trying experience.
Ducati's Streetfighter strips the previous-gen 1098 of its pretty bodywork with a package that's more ergonomically friendly, while the 'S' model adds goodies like Öhlins suspension, lightweight wheels, and traction control. I logged about 400 miles finding out how the Streetfighter S compares to Ducati's pricier, fully-faired models.
