Power Cruiser Cues Trickle Down to the 2010 Suzuki Boulevard M50

Friday June 26, 2009
2010 Suzuki Boulevard M50 Styling cues from the muscular M109R and M90 have trickled down into the just-unveiled 2010 Suzuki Boulevard M50 (click photo to enlarge), and the cruiser-- one of our Ten Great Advanced Beginner Motorcycles-- gains a whole lot of road presence.

The refreshed ride features a re-sculpted saddle that matches the new rear rear section, and the 16 inch aluminum wheels are now finished in silver. Up front, a new cowl adds substance around the headlight, while the water-cooled, fuel-injected 805cc V-twin gains a chrome-plated finish, among other changes.

There's no official price yet for the 2010 Suzuki Boulevard M50, but if it stays in line with the rest of the Suzuki lineup, anticipate a competitive MSRP.

I like the style of the 109’s but enough already. Is the whole suzuki line of cruizers going to look like the 109.

I think they want to make all look like the 109! Most that would purchase the M50 would be an advance beginner and they also want the bikes to look like a larger bike. I know the price is right but since I have owned and ridden many bikes with a rear drum brake I personally would not recommend any bike equiped that way to anyone except a seasoned rider. Sorry but IMHO that is a major strike against the M50 or any entry level bikes equiped that way!

The extra chrome makes it look generic, as does the new rear fender. I am not keen on the cowl in the M109 style.
My 2008 is black, and black. It has an individual style and is a great fun ride.
Sorry Suzuki stylists – this is an attempt to ‘Guild the lily’ and it’s missed the mark.
