At the Cambria, California launch of the 2010 Kawasaki Z1000, company execs felt compelled to reiterate that their all-new naked literbike was re-engineered for higher performance.
They pointed out that the revamped Z1000 is lighter, more powerful, and more dynamic than its predecessor. But it took a twist of the throttle and a day's worth of seat time to find out exactly what they meant.
This picture-- as revealing as it may be-- only tells half the story. To find out how the Kawi performed along stretches of California's central coast, read my 2010 Kawasaki Z1000 Review, and check out the pix in this photo gallery.
And on a side note, I tested About.com's long term Honda Insight hybrid during my trip to the Z1000 launch in Cambria; you can read my long term update in this report, and read more about the car in this long-term index.

Hey great pictures!
I like the looks, alot, something different I guess. Not sure about the lack of wind protection though with sitting completely upright.
