2011 Harley Davidson XR1200X for US market
Harley may have rid itself of Buell and planned to divest itself from MV Agusta, but their just-announced-for-the-U.S.-market XR1200X is a reminder that the Motor Company isn't 100% divorced from sporty (pun intended) motorcycles.

The 2011 Harley-Davidson XR1200X will be priced at $11,799, and the $1,000 premium (compared to the '10 XR1200) gets you uprated, fully-adjustable Showa Big Piston Front forks, and rear shocks with piggyback nitrogen charged reservoirs. Brakes are also enhanced with fully-floating 292mm Nissin front rotors (in contrast to the traditionally mounted rotors on the XR1200), while the whole package receives slight visual enhancements including orange-striped black wheels, a blacked out engine and exhaust system, and new graphics.

Pretty nice, but there’s a lot of competition.

The “true H-D aficionado” may not know how globalized their bikes already are.

That said, I definitely like this one far better than the base XR1200.

Owning an HD, I think almost all HD owners know that there are parts on their bikes that are not made in the USA( as almost everything made now a days). They are proud that there bikes are assembled in the USA and that HD is an American company. Victory motorcycles have foriegn parts also but their owners are also proud that their bikes are “American”.
