Motorcycle fanatics take note: "The Green Hornet"-- a 3-D action comedy treatment of the radio program, comic book, and TV show franchise-- hits theaters today, and features a mildly customized Harley-Davidson V-Rod Muscle, kinda like the one you voted (or didn't vote for) in our Long Term Harley-Davidson Moto Poll.
The custom V-Rod is ridden by Kato-- the Green Hornet's sidekick (played by actor Jay Chou)-- and wears a chopped rear fender, V-Rod Destroyer wheels, rear-set foot controls, and a one-off LED headlamp. The water-cooled Hog is the latest in a long line of silver screen Harleys that goes back to the grand daddy of them all, "Easy Rider."
Planning on watching "The Green Hornet"? Drop us a comment if you do, and let us know how this matte black V-Rod plays on the big, three-dimensional screen.

That photo is comical in the order of ROTFLMAO.
“KATO” and that dumb ass helmet is STUUUUUPID.
Cool looking bike but I’m not big on the headlight.
the movie was AWESOME!
i loved the car they had, but loved the bike more. everything about it was clean. wish some harleys came out like that. meaning with the rear foot controls. ^_^
The strap. Rule in triathlons is that the helmet is strapped before you mount and after you dismount or you get disqualified or at least penalized.
The movie was awesome, and the bike sounded really cool! the headlight did suck though, but the bike was a huge plus, and looked so amazing!
i love the way the bike is setup… not so sure about the headlight.
Just got back from the film. Now I have to find a 65 Chrysler Imperial, and Kato’s scooter was AWESOME!!!! I suppose I’ll have to go down to H-D now and see if they have one set up for test riding.
If you never ride a Vrod, you cannot understand, it is a Porsche engine and a very special bike, far from the chrome and ambiance of the other HD. You have to be bold and put your ass on it for an hour before to talk and criticise…I love it! and the Muscle in the movie is fabulous! Open your eyes!!!
Yve Rodriguez,
Just for clarification, the Revolution engine is not a ‘Porsche’ engine proper. It is a HD engine produced by HD in HD factories. It is true that HD contracted with Porsche for engineering support in design (Porsche had expereince going form A/C to W/C) but that is much different than purchasing an engine from Porsche (similar to how Buell used an true outsourced engine).
Other than that minor quibble, I agree with your posting. The VRSC line is a nice grouping of bikes. The forward controlls are awkward for shorter riders but it is overall a nice bike. The $2K price decress last year was a big plus for new buyers, but kind of sucked for current owners.
The Muscle is a nice addition but I would prefer mid mounts like the original NightRod.
Who said it isn’t a Porsche engine? The V-Rod was designed by Porsche so yes it is a Porsche engine even though it is built here.
And yes, it IS an awesome bike… wish they would develop a XR1200 with the engine… would be a killer bike!
I totally agree with the V-rod having a mid-mount peg option!!!
Would be the perfect bike!
Mid-mounts and optional folding highway pegs would be the way to go imo.
Saw the moive last night~wow! talk about being on the eage of your seat lol~i loved it really awesome!! the actors are so funny i give this moive 5 stars~ xo
