As replicas go, these two tricked out Hogs are about as noteworthy as they get: the 1962 "Billy Bike" and 1963 "Captain America" clones were built in 1993 for newspaper maven Otis Chandler, and both have been displayed in several museums, the latter appearing in the traveling exhibition of the Guggenheim museum's landmark "Art of the Motorcycle" exhibit.
The bikes will go on the block with no reserve at this year's Quail Lodge event on May 14th, with the "Billy Bike" estimated at $15,000 - $20,000, and "Captain America" reckoned at $20,000 to $30,000. Currently owned by the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation, the bikes will be available for viewings in New York between now and March 30, and at the Quail Lodge on May 13 and 14.
