After checking in with the folks at Denver, Colorado-based Ecosse Moto Works, I learned that their Titanium Series RR-- the heftily priced flagship that rings in at $275,000-- is being usurped by the final bike in the Heretic series: the FE Ti XX.
The FE Ti XX boasts a billet aluminum powerplant that displaces 2,409cc and produces a mind-bending 225 rear wheel horsepower, the most in Ecosse's history. Grade 9 titanium pipes have a ceramic, shot-peened finish, and a hydraulic clutch combines with a new exposed carbon belt drive. Extra goodies include a wristwatch from a tony-- but heretofore unnamed brand. The price for this two-wheeled, carbon fiber-finished specimen? $300,000.
Who buys the world's most expensive motorcycle? Ecosse tells me the first batch is going to China, and one particular client is taking delivery of the bike without fluids so he can display it as "a sculpture in his home." The kicker? He's ordered the bike in his daughter's favorite color, and naming it in her honor.

As an enthusiast of almost anything with two wheels, even that silly looking folding bicycle being loaded into a car across the street (hey, it’s Manhattan), I’ll take one of each.
For now I’d just be happy for a 60 degree day so I could ride comfortably again.
I still like the budget priced Confederate.
My vote for #’s 4, 3 & 2 would be the F4, The Hailwood Replica (THAT is WAY cool!) and the NCR M16. Top of my list would still be a brand new 1198SP…almost stock.
Scottie..I her your pain loud & clear. Winter still has death grip on us and it’s getting real old, very fast.
