When BMW unveiled its K1600 GT and GTL, expectations ran high: would the six-cylinder Bavarian bikes dethrone the de facto champion of touring motorcycles, the Honda Gold Wing? Having spent a year with a Gold Wing, I was especially curious to see how the new Beemers challenge the Honda.
After putting 300 miles on the new K1600s across winding Georgia roads that would challenge any sportbike, I walked away impressed-- and, frankly, totally surprised-- at what the mad scientists at BMW have concocted. Find out what I'm talking about in this 2012 BMW K1600 GT and GTL Review.*

Fair Review. BMW innovated where Honda just touched up.
Even as a cruiser, I’d think I could give up my v-twin for this one.
I dunno, I really wish that my 07 GT had the dash display and the LED lighting, but I think this redesign has taken the bike too far into rolling couch territory, I mean, a radio? Its tough for me to take that seriously.
