Triumph is the company that brought you the massively endowed Rocket III, so you shouldn't be surprised that the "bigger-is-better" mindset has extended to their adventure touring lineup.
Though not quite as comically overpowered as the 2.3 liter cruiser, the 135 horsepower Tiger Explorer 1200 is certainly no slouch-- especially when compared to its 1,050cc and 800cc variants. Equipped with standard traction control, ABS, and cruise control, it's also ready for a whole lot of pavement, especially since that big triple engine is fed by a hefty 5.3 gallon fuel tank.
I rode across rainy Los Angeles freeways and dry canyon roads, and offer up a few observations on the big bike in my 2013 Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 Review.

I would love to test ride this Bike! This style bike is really something I’m considering as my next purchase.
I got to page three still thinking “alloy wheels on an off-road bike?” Then saw that was an option. (I know nothing about off-road except spokes are de rigueur).
Like what Triumph is doing. If I had time and space for another bike I’d have a Triumph in my stable.
