The Goodwood Revival is a British celebration of all things vintage-- from race cars to motorcycles to airplanes, it's an annual weekend event offering an overwhelming array of visual and aural entertainment. Participants and onlookers are required to wear period clothing in tribute to the event's heyday from 1948 to 1966, which sets the mood for historical races of all sorts.
The motorcycles at Goodwood were eclectic- from vintage Vespas to ancient GP bikes- and the pinnacle of the two-wheeled festivities was the Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy, a race held on the 2.4 mile Goodwood Circuit that surrounds the infield. Featuring a Le Mans-style sprint start and machines from the early 1950s, the race was just one of many components that provided an amazing series of sights and sounds for lovers of classic bikes, cars, and planes.
