Scooters have increasingly popular since fuel prices have climbed, and the 2008 Aprilia SportCity 250 is a premium scooter that promises easy operation and freeway-legal speeds.
Powered by a 244cc single-cylinder engine that produces 22.5 horsepower, the Aprilia SportCity scooter is capable of a top speed of 79 mph, and can achieve 61 miles per gallon.
The SportCity's centrifugal clutch and automatic transmission means no shifting is required, and underseat storage stows a half-face helmet. Additional storage is available in the leg shield compartment.
15 inch wheels provide competent handling, and options include a sport windshield, a taller touring-friendly windshield, waterproof leg covers, and top cases ranging from 28 to 35 liters in capacity.
