The 2009 Ducati Streetfighter is a dramatic take on its fully-faired counterpart, with lots of angular bits and mechanical pieces on display. The base model is priced at $14,995, and the 'S' model is $4,000 pricier, at $18,995. Features include:

- A 1099cc L-twin engine that produces 155 hp and 85 lb-ft of torque; each figure is 5 less than the 1098, from which the engine was derived
- A lightweight 2-1-2 exhaust system with twin stainless steel mufflers
- On the base model, fully adjustable 43mm Showa fork and a fully adjustable, progressive Showa rear linkage. Both models get an aluminum, single-sided swingarm that's longer than the 1198 model
- 4-piston Brembo monobloc brakes up front and a 2-piston brake at the rear
- The Streetfighter S version features Öhlins suspension and forged lightweight Marchesini wheels, carbon trim, Ducati Data Acquisition (DDA), and Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) with eight levels of intervention
