The 2010 BMW S1000RR is a landmark bike with a claimed best-in-class power to weight ratio and features including:
- An inline-4 powerplant that uses Formula 1-inspired valve technology and produces 193 horsepower and 83 lb-ft of torque
- A dry weight of 403.5 lbs and a wet weight of 450 lbs (455.3 lbs with race ABS),
- Dynamic Traction Control with "Rain," "Sport," "Race," or "Slick" modes that works in concert with the optional ABS system to adjust engine output based on front and rear wheel speed, lean angle, and other readings
- An aluminum bridge frame that uses the engine as a load-bearing element
- A 0-100 km/h (62 mph) time of 2.9 seconds
