KTM's RC8 superbike turned the company tradition of building offroad and supermoto machines upside-down, and the new 2010 RC8 R takes that concept even further.
The even sharper-edged sportbike features:
- A slightly enlarged 1,195cc v-twin engine (vs the RC8's 1,148cc mill), which includes new pistons enabling a higher compression ratio
- 170 horsepower (15 more than the standard RC8) and 90.7 lb-ft of torque
- A new smoother shifting gearbox, mated to a new slipper clutch
- A 43mm WP inverted fork with Brembo monoblocs boasting 11 percent thicker discs, and a WP rear monoshock.
- Weight: 401.2 lbs ("ready to race," without fuel)
- Price TBD
