American bike builder Roehr enters the electric bike market

By , About.com Guide

Roehr may be known for its 1250sc, an audacious internal combustion superbike powered by a supercharged Harley-Davidson powerplant, but they're now tackling the electric motorcycle market with three new bikes:

eSuperSport, priced at $16,965
This entry-level offering is powered by a 48 horsepower single AC induction motor and a 5.8 Kw/h Lithium Iron Phosphate battery, and weighs 395 pounds.

eSuperBike (pictured here), priced at $27,595
The eSuperBike adds another AC induction motor, bringing total output to 96 horsepower, and uprated Öhlins rear suspension. Battery power is bumped to 7.7 Kw/h, and this bike weighs in at 500 pounds.

eSuperBike RR, priced at $34,495
This flagship bike is aimed at the TTXGP and e-Power race series, and adds fully adjustable 43mm Öhlins forks, larger 4-piston 320mm Brembo brakes, lightweight aluminum wheels, and race spec tires.
