ZERO Motorcycles has finally unveiled their street legal electric motorcycle.
The ZERO S features:
- A proprietary lithium ion battery hooked up to an electric motor that produces 31 horsepower and 62.5 ft-lbs of torque
- A total weight of 225 pounds
- A clutchless, one-speed transmission
- A claimed top speed of 60 mph
- A range of up to 60 miles, and a recharge time under 4 hours
- A claimed cost to recharge that works out to less than $.01 per mile
- An MSRP of $9,950
