2006 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail Classic
What do you love about your bike?
I like the "old fashioned" classic look of the bike.
Any dislikes?
I wish it had cruise control and a radio.
Where I bought it
Bought this bike at Uke's Harley Davidson in Kenosha, WI. The salesperson there did a good job of helping put some upgrades on the bike - larger touring pillion seat and backrest, screamin eagle pipes and engine guard.
Why I bought it
This was my first, and so far only, bike. My wife liked the way it looked and so did I. It was big enough for the two of us and that was all that mattered at the time. So far I have put over 11,000 miles on it so it really doesn't have a lot of miles. As much as I love this bike I am considering an Electra Glide in the near future.
Tips and Tricks
- The 2006 has a 5 speed transmission compared to a 6 speed on the 2007 and later models. The engine is also a bit bigger on the 2007 and later models. I do wish I had waited a bit to buy but that's the way it goes!
