No helmet laws and I lived...
- I rode for 21 years in Chicago without a helmet then I lost my eyes, arms and legs. Now I wear a helmet all the time.

Yes, I wear a full face
- I've seen too many wrecks not to. Yes, on rare occasions I leave my helmet off, like I'm literally moving the bike from one parking space to another, or running 1/2 block to stop by the ATM. In Florida it's a choice, if people choose not to wear, that's their choice I guess. I ride a sport bike, and enjoy performance riding, so there is both a safety factor AND not enjoying a faceful of bugs at work with my choice.

Freedom
- I don't believe we should have helmet or seatbelt laws. In fact, the less laws the better. With that being said, when it comes to my own personal safety, I always wear a helmet, pants, closed shoes, gloves and an armored jacket when I ride. I have done many adventerous and dangerous things in my life but always with as much caution and protection as possible. I love life, but you never know when the unexpected happens and that's when you need to be prepared to keep on living. As for other riders who do or don't wear helmets, that's their choice. That's why freedom is a wonderful thing. But they have their priorities and I have mine and that's all that needs to be said on this topic.

All the time
- I don't wear a full face helmet but I do always wear either a half helmet with a face shiled or a 3/4 helmet. Helmets are required where I live now but I use to live in a state where they weren't and always wore one there too.

It's a personal decsion
- When I ride I wear a FF helmet. I can see better, hear better, and don't get as much debris in my eyes. I've crashed with and without. Less damage to my head, with a helmet.

For sure I wear a full face helmet
- I saw the helmet my lady friend wore after she crashed. Had she not been wearing a full face helmet, she would still be enduring surgeries to put her face back together, a year later.

Doctors need work too.
- There should be no helmet laws, ever, anywhere, period. If you want to butter the pavement with your brains, by all means proceed. It keeps lots of people employed. When I see a guy with his girl on the back and she's not wearing a helmet I figure he doesn't really care for her or he wouldn't allow that.

Just common sense
- Common sense prevails in issues like this, some of us have it, and wear a helmet, others don't

I wear a helmet because It makes sense
- Not wearing a helmet, as well as all the protective gear while riding is asking for injury or death. You never know when "Murphy" will jump out, he is waiting for you right around the corner. Lets face it, riding a motorcycle puts you in one of the most dangerous places, a public highway. Wear all the gear all the time works for me. Each time I have had a accident I have been geared up and have had very minor injuries if not at all due to the gear. Its just smart, thats all! Plain and simple common sense.

Do You Wear a Helmet When You Ride?
- I wore a helmet till my kids were 16 and 18, that`s the only way my wife would let me buy a bike back in 1984, now I only wear it in bad weather. Arlington Tx.

Darwin Award
- Every time I see a cyclist without a helmet I assume they are either ignorant or they don't have respect for their loved ones. Either way, I stay away from people with such mentality. Same with hiring an employee, if I see them ride to an interview without a helmet, I immediately know they are either incapable of understanding traffic statistics or they are to stupid to protect themselves, either way they wont be working for me or any of my entrepreneurial contemporaries. Hey geniuses, why not just remove air bags from your cars, that will show us old fogies how smart you are!
